Boiler types and installation options
Combi boilers
A combi boiler heats water on demand straight from the mains, with no hot water cylinder or loft tanks. It suits most smaller and medium-sized homes and frees up cupboard space. We check your mains water pressure and flow first, because a combi only performs as well as the supply feeding it.
System and regular boilers
Homes with more bathrooms or higher hot water demand often do better with a system boiler and a stored hot water cylinder. Regular (heat-only) boilers suit some older systems with tanks in the loft. We'll tell you honestly whether it's worth converting or keeping your current layout.
Like-for-like swaps and relocations
A like-for-like swap in the same position is usually the quickest and least disruptive option. If you're refitting a kitchen, we can move the boiler to a cupboard or another room, reroute the pipework and flue, and complete the electrics in the same project.
Controls and system protection
We pair new boilers with sensible controls and advise on protecting the system, so the new boiler isn't working against years of sludge in the old pipework.
